I have in my posession a childs toy car, as seen in the image. i originally wanted it for its wheels so i could continue making mobile gallerys but the longer i look at it the more potential i see in it. i think it has an almost iconic british image to it and i dont know wether i want to use it or not, whether it be as a vessel or a ready made, it seems to hold so much imigary with it, would painting it or removing parts just deem it useless?is it just enough to appreciate the asthetics of it?

i love it like it is.i know not many people can fit in it apart from children but id like it 2 be driven a bit like those ones that are in Leeds already like this but bigger and have like a billboard attached to the back like a trailer on wheels with advertisements.maybe you could have a board on wheels similar to this that trails behind with artwork on.saying this maybe you could get a bike and do something similar for a traveling gallery
ReplyDeleteI noticed it is quite an old post and I wondered what has happened to the car.
ReplyDeleteCan you get inside it, or is it too small? It seems like a street performance to me. Moblie galleries, mobile artists, romantic road trips, immersing the self in a journey?
Also Alter Modern, the idea that increased travel and migration affect the way we live.
I would say that this idea has legs, but it actually has wheels!
Hurry up and post something so I know what you did with it
