the toy car that i came across is still in my possesion. i toyed around with a few ideas, if you will excuse the pun and used it as a aid toward other mobile gallerys. its image and sence of importance is quite overwhelming. it screams at you to do something with it. the reason it has been relatively left alone for the time being is because it is simply the wrong material for me right now. i am working with natural materials and a natural material it is not!. after playing around with adding structures to it and adapting its use from quite a formal gallery with images hanging it and parading round the streets to getting in and just being part of it. i think to most peopke though the best thing to do with it is absolutly nothing. it could quite easily hold its own as a sculpture or readymade object in a contemporary gallery. i think that on its own it is headed in the same direction that my work is going at the moment. along the lines of institutional theory. it can work perfectly well on its own and is in many ways against the gallery or opposed to it, but cannot be appreciated or its brilliance realise without being put into a gallery. not that im saying my work is brilliant or anywhere near as good as a red and yellow push car.
